what are centrioles write about their functions
where do lipids and proteins constituting the plasma membrane get synthesised
(i) A centriole is a small cylindrical organelle present near the nucleus of animal cells, occurring in pairs. These form the basal body of the cilia and the flagella and are involved in the development of spindle fibers in cell division.
(ii) The lipids and proteins constituting plasma membranes and other structures in a cell get all synthesised in the Endoplasmic reticulum. The lipids are synthesised in Smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER) while as proteins are synthesised in Rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER).
