An element is the purest form of matter and is made up of similar types of atoms linked together, like Fe, Na, N,O etc.

A molecule is made up of two or more similar or different types of atoms. Ex: Cl₂ ,N₂ ,H₂O etc.

A compound is made up of two or more different types of atoms mixed in a definite ratio. like H₂O , NaOH etc.
