Equator is an imaginary line which runs through the middle of the earth dividing it into two equal hemispheres – north and south.

Poles are the two extreme ends of the planet earth – north pole and south pole.

The regions near equator are very hot.

Polar regions are ice cold.

Equator receives highest amount of solar radiation.

Poles receive lowest amount of solar radiation.

The climate is hot and humid throughout the year.

The climate is frozen and dry whole year.
