1) Life in rural areas depends on agriculture and in other ways. Some people work on farms while others earn their living by engaging themselves in non – farm activities
2) They produce food for the entire country and thus, agriculture can be considered as backbone of Indian economy and development
Urban livelihoods
1) Urban areas has all the facilities like hospitals, shopping complexes, offices, vendors, markets etc
2) Services provided by people living in urban areas form the development of secondary and tertiary sectors of an economy
