What are the causes of kidney failure ?
Kidney failure is a condition where the kidneys stop performing their functions. It may be acute or chronic. Some of the causes are:
Acute kidney failure:
1) Drop in blood flow to kidneys.
2) Damage of medicines, infections or poisons.
3) Blockage in flow of urine from kidneys.
Chronic kidney diseases resulting in failure:
1) Diabetes
2) High blood pressure
3) Genetic disorders like polycystic kidney disorder
