Question

what are the difference s between tubectomy and vasectomy

Open in App
Solution

Tubectomy is a surgical sterilization procedure in females where oviducts are cut and tied. It blocks the fallopian tubes and does not allow the egg to reach the uterus. Hence the egg is not available for fertilization.

Vasectomy is a surgical sterilization procedure in males in which the sperm ducts are cut and tied. It does not allow sperms to get mixed with the semen and hence no sperms are available for fertilization.
