what are the differences between alluvial soil found in upper coarse of rivers and that found in lower coarse?

1. In the upper coarse of river i.e. near the place of their origin, the soil is coarser.Soil particles are larger, heavier and less fertile.
2. In the lower coarse of river, large particles get refined into finer particles due to their long travel with river.The soil consist of clay, sand and silt and is very fertile.
