The following radiations have effects on human body which are explained below :
1. Ultraviolet Radiation : The ultraviolet radiation coming from sun in large quantity has harmful effects on human beings, as it can cause skin cancer in humans. But fortunately, most of the U-V radiations coming from the sun is absobed by the ozone layer in the atmosphere at an altitude of about 40-50 km.
2. X - Ray radiations : X ray radiations can pass through flesh, but can not pass through the bones, hence cast a shadow of bones on the fluorosence screen and produce X ray of bones which are used for the detection fractures in the bones of human body.
