what are the equations of motions for freely falling bodies?

Open in App
Solution

Following are the equations of motion of a body falling freely under the action of gravity.

v = u + gt

S = ut + ½ gt2

v2 = u2 + 2gS

Where, u is the initial velocity, v is the final velocity, S is the distance covered and g is the acceleration due to gravity.
