Some component of Sunrays are UV rays ( Ultra - Violet rays). These are very strong penetrating rays.
They have the capability of damaging plant or animal cells.
1. In animals they can cause skin cancer or cataract in the eye
2. In plants they cause reduced growth and decrease production of food ( plant yield )
