Some of the limitations of artificial system of classification are:
(a) It relies on the vegetative characteristics of organism, which are subject to changing environment.
(b) It relies on the form and shape of organisms, which change with time (e.g., seasonal variations affect the shape and size of plants, biennial and annual habit of radish, etc.).
(c) It does not take into account other features like evolution of the organism, natural relationships amongst different taxa.
