Types of thermometers-
Mercury thermometers: Easy to use. Commonly used as clinical thermometer
Infrared thermometers: Non contact type. This type of thermometers can measure temperature from a distance.
Thermistors: Mainly used in industries. Change in resistance due to temperature is the working principle.
Thermocouples: Used in industries. They are suitable for large temperature range (up to 23000C)
