Principle of collective responsibility ensures the following:
a. The Council of Ministers is collectively responsible to the Parliament and it stays in power , as long as it enjoys its confidence of the Parliament.
b. All the ministers of the Council "swim and sink together". If the Parliament passes the motion and defeats the decision of any ministry through majority votes, the entire Council of Ministers has to resign.
c. If the parliament passes the vote of no confidence the entire government has to resign.
d. This establishes control of the Lok Sabha over the council of ministers.
e. This allows ministers to work in coordination and in sync.
