Question

What are the two points of difference between a virtual image of a concave mirror and a virtual image of a convex mirror?

Open in App
Solution

Hi Joelenefernandes!

The virtual image formed by the concave mirror will be enlarged in size.

In a concave mirror, virtual image is formed only when the object is placed in between the principal focus and pole of the mirror.

The virtual image formed by a convex mirror will be small in size compared to the object.

The convex mirror forms virtual image for all positions of the object.

Cheers!!
