There are mainly three types of fibres:
ā€‹1) Collagenous fibre: They are made up of collagen and consist of bundles of fibrils.
2) Elastic fibre: Elastic fibres are stretchable and made of elastin protein.
3) Reticular fibre: Reticular fibres are clusters of interwoven collagen fibrils. Reticular fibres join the connective tissues with other tissues.
