What are zero group elements
Zero group elements are the 18th group elements in modern periodic table. They are also known as noble gas elements. These elements have filled valence shell electronic configuration. The elements are Helium(He), Neon(Ne), Argon(Ar), Krypton(Kr), Xenon(Xe) and Radon(Rn)
These elements have valence shell filled electronic configuration. Hence, they don't have any tendency to lose , gain, or share the electrons. Consequently, they are chemically inert. Due to this inertness, they are known as noble gas elements and they exist in gaseous form.
