what change do you expect in the charateristics of a musical sound if;-

a) its amplitude is increase

b) its freqency is increase

1- We know that the loudness of a sound is determined by the amplitude of vibration. It is directly proportional to the square of amplitude of vibration. This means if the amplitude is increased, the loudness will also increase.
2- The pitch of a sound is directly proportional to its frequency. If frequency is increased, the pitch will also increase i.e.Sounds of low frequency are said to have low pitch whereas sounds of high frequency are said to have high pitch.
