what changes take place in the shape and focal length of eye lens(a) when the eye is focussed on a near object (b) when the eye is focussed on a distant object? ask by sreya
The ability of the eye lens to adjust its focal length accordingly as the object distances is called power of accommodation. Eye lens focuses the light rays on the light sensitive screen retina. Ciliary muscles increases the focal length that is the size of the eye lens will become small when we are visualizing the distant objects and it decreases the focal length that is our eye lens will become large when we are visualizing the near by objects.
