what do u mean by sieving property of agarose gel?
Agarose gel is used to perform gel electrophoresis in which DNA and protein are separated and analyzed. In gel electrophoresis process, this agarose gel is used to separate the molecules as a sieve where larger molecules get obstructed and the gel allows smaller molecules to flow through. This proves that agarose gel is having a sieving property which is exploited in electrophoresis process.
