Question

what do u mean by the statement '' according to law of conservation of energy , energy can only be converted from one form to another, it can neither be destroyed or created''

Open in App
Solution

The law of conservation of energy involves a very simple concept it is

'energy can neither be created nor destroyed'

this means that the total amount of energy content in the universe remains constant. No matter what process we use the energy content of the universe cannot change. The next part of the law talks about energy transformation

'energy can be transferred from one form to another using a certain process'

so we can change its form form one to another. Like from heat to sound or chemical to electrical.
