What do we mean by reaction with fluorine tkaes place in dark while talking abot properties of dihydrogen in reaction with halogens

The reaction between halogens (Except F)and Hydrogen requires some amount of energy which is provided by the photons from light.
However in case of fluorine the reaction is very spontaneous due to extreme reactivity of F and hence does not even require any light to occur.
