All living organism reproduce. The offspring produced differ from parents.They inherit traits from parents as well as they develop new variations also. If the variations are useful in survival and reproduction they pass on to next generation resulting in more population having these variations.These variations accumulate and show changes in the population. This whole process explains the accumulation of variations.
