what do you mean by exon and intron?
Hi
A DNA template which takes part in the process of translation consists of two types of sequences: one which can be coded and other which can not be coded.
Exon is the sequence of DNA that codes information for protein synthesis that is transcribed to messenger RNA while intron is the DNA region that is not translated into protein.
During the processing of mature mRNA these introns are removed by the process called splicing. This results in in the formation of mRNA which is used for the translation process.
Best!
