Heredity is transfer of characters from parents to offspring during sexual reproduction that involves both parents to participate. It actually tells us about the traits that are carried from one generation to next.
Evolution is gradual or slower process of development of new species from older ones during course of time. This new species is somehow more complex than its parental one and it takes millions of years to develop into more evolved species.
