Hi,

Monochromatic Radiation means the electromagnetic radiation of a single frequency. In realty, no source of electromagnetic radiation is purely monochromatic.

For e.g. the sodium lamp with the wavelength of 589.3nm is the source of monochromatic radiation.

Commutator is a rotatory switch used to change the direction of current. A DC motor is a device where commutator is used to change the direction of current.
