Hi Siddhu,

Petroleum is a mixture of liquids called crude oil and natural gas which is found naturally under the ground and formed millions of years ago. These are extracted from oilwell . Crude oil and natural gas are of little use in their raw state, so they are transported by pipeline or ship to refineries (oil refinery) and processed into refined products such as petrol ,diesel ,lubricating oil etc.
