What do you mean by the perimeter of an equilateral triangle?
The perimeter of a figure is the length of the outer boundary of the planar figure. The perimeter of a triangle is the length of outer boundary of the triangle. It can be calculated by adding the length of all three sides of the triangle.
A triangle is said to be an equilateral triangle, if the length of all its sides are equal.
Consider an equilateral ABC.
∴ AB = BC = CA = a (say)
Perimeter of equilateral ABC = AB + CA + CA = a + a + a = 3a
