Civil War in Lebanon indicate the following:
a. Lebanon being a multi sectarian country comprising of Christians, Shi'a and Sunni Muslims did not provide for power sharing among themselves and that the groups were pitted against each other.
b. Lack of power sharing brought about conflict and tensions among the communities and the outbreak of civil war.
c. The civil war resulted in killing of thousands of people and displacement.
d. It was only after the civil war, that political leaders agreed on sharing political power among the different religious communities in order to restore peace in the region.
