Question

What happens if all green plants disappear from earth?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

Although it is a hypothetical situation. If all the green plants will disappear from earth then it will cause a decrease in the concentration of the oxygen to such a low level that it would not be sufficient for all the living organisms for breathing. Thus, it will result in their death.
Beside these there are many other consequences:-
1. As plants perform photosynthesis, they will no longer be able to do. As a result we won't be able to get fruits and vegetables.
you can also explain in short about photosynthesis.
2. Herbivores who eat plants only will no longer be able to consume food, they will soon die. hence balance in ecosystem would be disrupt.

Hope this answers your query,

Cheers!!
