Purely resistive circuit contain only resistance which simply produce the hindrance between the path of the electron.
Instantaneous current is given by : I = I₀sin($\omega t+\varphi$)
Instantaneous voltage is given by : V = V₀sin($\omega t+\varphi$)

where I₀ and V₀ are the maximum values of current and voltage and $\omega$ is the frequency of the a.c.
when frequency of the ac increases instantaneous value of the current and voltage increases.
