Puberty is the age of human males and females at which the reproductive organs become functional. The boys and the girls become sexually mature, when their gonads start producing sex hormones. Puberty is attained between the age of 13 – 14 years in males and between 10 – 12 years in females.

In boys, puberty is triggered by the Testosterone hormone which is secreted from Testes. Boys developed secondary sexual characters like enlargement of penis and scortum, growth of hair in faces and chest, extra hair in the armpits, increase in height and deepening of voice etc.
