Sinuses are air pockets that are located within the bones of the skull and face and are connected to nasal passages by small tubes. Sinus disease also called as the sinusitis is an inflammatory condition affecting the lining of the sinuses. It is caused by any infection of the nasal passages by bacteria, fungi or viruses. It may results in congestion, headaches, post-nasal drainage, and nasal polyps or blockage of the nasal cavity.
