Question

what happens to sound when it strikes a surface?

Open in App
Solution

When sound strikes a surface, some of the sound gets absorbed by the surface and some of it gets reflected. If the surface is hard (like walls) most of the sound is reflected and a little is absorbed. On the other hand, if the surface is soft (like thermocol) most of the sound is absorbed and a little is reflected.
