WHAT HAPPENS TO THE ENERGY LIBERATED IN RESPIRATION?
Respiration releases energy for use in life processes. It is released gradually and not in one go. It is controlled by many enzymes and it is a long process.
Some form of energy is released as heat and rest of the energy is stored in chemical form that is ATP that used for cell growth, division and cell repairing. Also, the energy used for production of DNA, RNA, amino acids, antibiotics and pheromones within the cells.
