what happens to the shape of a ball of dough when it is rolld to make a chapati?

When the ball of dough is rolled, force acts on it. This force tends to change the shape of the dough and gives it a shape of plane sheet which is called chapati. Also if the pressure applied is even on the ball of dough then it spreads evenly in all directions and acquire a circular shape.
