What happens when a Non-Metal reacts with Metal Carbonate and Metalhydrogen Carbonate??

Non-metal does not directly reacts with metal carbonates or metal bicarbonates but when non-metal forms acids it reacts with metal carbonates or metal hydrogen carbonates to give salt, water and CO₂.
Ex: Na₂CO₃ + 2HCl --> 2NaCl + H₂O + CO₂

2NaHCO₃ + H₂SO₄ --> Na₂SO₄ + 2H₂O + 2CO₂
