calcium fluoride when treated with concentrated H2SO4 it produces an important acid i.e. HF, this is a weak acid which is use in carving of glass and in production of wide range of materials.

The balance equation for this reaction is given below

CaF2 + H2SO4 → CaSO4 + 2 HF
