what happens when grapes are placed in a solution of high concentration

When the grapes are placed in a solution of high solute concentration i.e. in hypertonic solution, water moves from its higher concentration (i.e. grapes) to its lower concentration (i.e. hypertonic solution) causing the grapes to shrink.
