​(i) Quick lime (CaO) is heated with silica (SiO2) to give calcium silicate called as slag.
Reaction
CaO(s) + SiO2(s) heat CaSiO3 (s)

(ii) Slaked lime (Ca(OH)2) reacts with chlorine to form calcium hypochlorite and calcium chloride (Ca(OCl)2 + CaCl2), which is bleaching powder.​

2Ca(OH)2 + 2Cl2 CaCl2 + Ca(OCl)2 + 2H2O
