Solution

a) Zinc rod is displaced in copper sulphate solution
Reaction:
Zn + CuSO4 ZnSO4 + Cu
Color: The blue colour of copper sulphate solution slowly discharge. Zinc sulphate is colourless.
Type- Single displacement reaction

b) Ferrous sulphate is heated.
Reaction:
2 FeSO4 Heat Fe2O3 + SO2 + SO3
Colour: Green colour of ferrous sulphate changes into reddish brown colour of ferric oxide.
Type: Decomposition reaction

c) Lead nitrate is heated.
Reaction:
2 Pb(NO3)2 Heat 2 PbO(s) + 4 NO2 (g) + O2 (g)
Colour change: White crystalline lead nitrate changes into yellow residue of lead oxide with cracking noise.
Type: Decomposition reaction

d) Potassium iodide is added to lead nitrate solution
Reaction:
Pb(NO3)2(aq) + KI(aq) KNO3 + PbI2(s)
Colour change: Both solution are colour less, on reaction forms yellow precipitate of lead iodide
Type: Precipitation reaction
