Sieve cell is an elongated food conducting cell of phloem. It has pores through which the nutrients can pass from cell to cell. Sieve cells are usually present in primitive plants due to its comparatively primitive structure than other phloem cells. Thus it is mostly found in gymnosperms and some seedless vascular plants. .
