Two events are said to be mutually exclusive if they dont have any single element in commonwhereas when two events donot depend on each other's occurrence , they are said to be independent eventsEx. Suppose A = Getting an even number on rolling a diceB = Selecting a boy out of a class of 50 boysC = Getting head on tossing a coin after an even number comes on rolling a diceHere A and B are mutually exclusive whereas A and C are dependent , aslo B and C are independent events
