The angle of a prism is the angle between the two refracting faces of the prism. It is denoted by A.

If two prisms of the same type are combined together (one prism in opposition to the other), then deviation without dispersion occurs. In this case, the white light dispersed by the first prism is restored by the second prism. This is also known as achromatism.
