Question

what is difference b/w emf and induced emf?

Open in App
Solution

Emf and induced emf basically mean the same thing with a slight difference as the name suggests.

Induced emf is the emf induced due to the relative motion of the magnet or coil which in turn produces an induced current.

Emf is the potential difference across the two terminals of a voltage source when it is not connected to any circuit.
