  • Ester: The functional group of the main chain of polyester.

  • Polyester: It is a polymer (a chain of repeating units) where the individual units are held together by ester linkages. Here Ester is a monomer.
  • Polymer: Any of various chemical compounds made of smaller, identical molecules (called monomers) linked together. OR Polymers are formed by combination of large number of monomers by the process of polymerisation. e.g polythene is formed by polymerisation of ethene. Here Ethene is a monomer.
