what is G0 phase of plant cell?

Open in App
Solution

G0 phase is a stage in the cell cycle where the cell is not actively dividing neither preparing itself for division. It occurs after the G1 phase of the interphase of cell cycle. It is an inactive or a dormant stage, known as quiescent stage, where the cells are metabolically active and perform their normal functions in the body but do not divide. Division will occur only when required by the organism.
