what is homogenity what does this term exactely mean

Homogeneity means something which is same or uniform throughout its existence. i.e. homogeneity is a property found in the substance which makes it homogeneous or uniform throughout the taken sample, as if we take a homogeneous water and salt solution it will be homogeneous or uniform no matters whether we take a cup of the sample or a tub of the sample.
