Biopesticides are those biological agents that are used for control of weeds, insects and pathogens. There are three types of biopesticides- microbial pesticides (such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc), biochemical pesticides (such as insect sex pheromones) and plant incorporated protectants (such as GM crops).

Organic Farming is a farming system with minimum or no use of chemicals (fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides etc) & with maximum use of natural nutrient (compost, crop residues, and manure) and healthy cropping systems.

Photoperiod is the duration of light which is required by a plant for flowering. It can also be called as day length. It varies with different zones on earth and also according to seasons. The duration of light affects growth and flowering in plants.
