Solution

Dear Student

Let us consider two bodies A and B.

A has charge +3Q and B has charge +Q.

Now, if we connect A and B, the charge will flow from A to B as A has more positive charge than B and we know that charge flows from positive to negative.

After connecting , both will acquire equal charge of +2Q and to make A= +2Q, we can also say that -Q flow from B to A.

The body with more charge initially is said to be at higher potential i.e. A and the body with less charge initially is said to be at lower potential i.e. B.

In this case as positive charge flows from A to B , we can say that positive charge flows from a body at higher potential to a body at lower potential. In other words, as negative charge flows from B to A, we can say that negative charge flows from a body at lower potential to a body of higher potential.
