Solution

The social and political values of the Constituent Assembly carried the legacy of the freedom struggle which was fought for liberty , equality and jsutice. The social, economic and political exploitation of the country during the British rule certainly gave impetus to our representatives who were framing the constitution to acknowledge the values which were denied to the Indian people for centuries.. It is the Preamble which provides for proper appreciation of our aims and goals and aspirations as embodied in the constitution. Some of the values are:

a. Sovereign- People's right to decision making both internally and externally, country is free from external control
b. Secularism - Freedom of religion to people and that there is no official state religion, no discrimination on the basis of religion, nor state will promote any particular religion.
c. Socialist- to ensure economic equality where government would establish control over economy to reduce disparities between the rich and the poor.
